General dentists often refer patients for specialized, advanced care of gum disease, deep pockets, or to replace missing teeth with dental implants.
Will I need surgery?
Not necessarily. Many cases are managed with non-surgical treatments like scaling and root planing, though advanced disease may require surgical intervention.
