1The Patient's Concerns

When this patient first visited our office, her primary concern was the appearance of her smile. She felt that her front teeth appeared too small, narrow, and lacked the brightness and fullness she desired. Years of wear had gradually shortened her teeth, causing her smile to appear aged and less vibrant than she wanted.

2The Examination

During a comprehensive examination, Dr. Bajaj identified significant tooth wear affecting both the upper and lower front teeth. Due to severe attrition, the patient had lost approximately 3–4 millimeters of natural tooth structure, resulting in shortened teeth and compromised smile esthetics. An existing crown on one of the upper front teeth also required replacement because it lacked proper length, proportion, and overall esthetic harmony. The patient expressed a desire for a brighter, wider, and more symmetrical smile that would extend naturally from premolar to premolar.

3The Treatment Plan

After a thorough discussion of treatment options, a customized smile rehabilitation plan was developed to restore both function and esthetics while preserving the patient's natural teeth. The treatment consisted of a combination of porcelain veneers and all-ceramic crowns, carefully designed to rebuild lost tooth structure, improve tooth proportions, enhance smile symmetry, and create a more youthful appearance.

5The Restorations

7Protecting the Investment

To protect the newly restored smile and maximize the longevity of the restorations, a custom night guard was recommended and incorporated into the overall treatment plan. Because the patient exhibited signs of significant wear and strong bite forces, the protective appliance was designed to help minimize excessive pressure on the veneers and crowns during sleep. This additional step plays an important role in preserving both the function and appearance of the smile for years to come.
